Mr. Buechle has over twenty years of experience in U.S., foreign, and international patent law including patent preparation, prosecution, litigation, opinions, global portfolio management, assignments, due diligence, contracts, licensing, and client counseling. His patent legal experience has encompassed a wide range of technologies. Reflecting his technical training, a particular focus has been on the chemical arts (e.g., organic, inorganic, polymers, ceramics, engineering, and material science) and the life sciences (e.g., biotechnology, molecular biology, biologics, genomics, bioinformatics, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals). He has also handled inventions in other technical areas including electromechanics (medical devices, robotics, batteries, OLED displays, optics, and semiconductors) and computer science (software, artificial intelligence, and telecommunications).
Mr. Buechle is proficient in other areas of intellectual property as well, such as ornamental design (design patents/industrial designs), trademarks, and trade secrets. Complementing his intellectual property legal expertise, Mr. Buechle is well versed in related legal areas including FDA and USDA regulatory law. He has assisted a broad array of clients, international corporations, start-ups, corporate spinoffs, non-profit foundations, academia, and the federal government. He is an exceptional organizer, communicator, facilitator, problem solver, and mentor. He likes preparing articles and presentations on patent law basics; developments in U.S., international, and foreign patent practice; and new case law and statutes impacting patents.
Outside the office, Mr. Buechle enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, hiking, and spending time with his family.
