A Notice of Intent to Issue Reexamination Certificate in the inter partes reexamination 95/000,410 issued May 21, 2014 in which the original method and computer readable storage medium claims were confirmed. The inter partes reexamination was requested in October 2008 and ordered by the USPTO in January 2009. The initial office action cited 7 primary references and an additional 11 secondary references in a total of 32 rejections. The inter partes reexamination eventually went to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in which the board reversed the Examiner’s rejections of the original method and computer readable storage medium claims. The inter partes reexamination was handled by Andrew Melick, Thomas Brown and Tsuyoshi Nakamura.
